LMS Royal Scot 4-6-0 46115 Scots Gaurdsman
Footage from Royal Scot 46115 Scots Guardsman trip down the Conwy Valley line to Blaenau Ffestiniog on Tuesday 26th July 2016, a first for the class. We start off with a couple of shots at Farington Curve Junction/Flag Lane in Preston, before moving on to Helsby. Next we are onto the Conway Valley line at Roman Bridge. The next shots featured are on the departure from Blaenau Ffestiniog, on the section of line climbing to the tunnel which run alongside the old FR Dinas branch. From her we have a look at the locomotive alongside the River Conwy at Tal-y-cafn, before going high above Colwyn Bay.
The next series of shots is from the run round and shunting at Blaenau Ffestiniog.
Finally we have a look at action from the Ffestiniog Railway, with Linda, Earl of Merioneth and David Lloyd George in action, including trying out some locations around Minffordd/Penrhyn.
