Описание: Welcome to a new mini series covering some of the most important video game franchises in videogame history, we will be looking at games from the late 70s and early 80s, the Golden Age of Gaming!

We will take each game franchise and play as many of them as we can so that we can see how they evolved over time and to see whether they are still relevant today.

The first game is Space Invaders!! Released in 1979 by Taito this game needs no introduction, it was responsible for the huge uprise in videogames at that time. the premise is simple, destroy the aliens try that are attacking. It's a single screen infinity shooter that you play purely to get the highest score.

The game and its numerous sequels have appeared on pretty much every format possible, and are still being released today, but it has rarely strayed away from it's core roots as a single screen shooter.

So let's dive into the many versions of Space Invaders, was it ever any good? And which one of them is best?
