Tanjavur painting is a classical South Indian painting style, which was inaugurated from the town of Thanjavur ,Tamil Nadu. This is the unique painting style which is characterised by rich colours, embossed gesso work overlaid by original gold foils and inlay of precious gems or stones. And these paintings are framed with teakwood as these paintings can be preserved for generations.
