For those still having this issue
1. Go to ''Configuration screen''
2. At the search bar{right corner} type ''Background''
3. under ''ease of access center'' klick on ''Turn of background images''
4. Scroll to the bottom you'll see ''remove background images where available'' untick/deselect it.
