Onboard Pitch followed by Collapse - Triple Seven Rook 3 (HD 1080p)

As soon as the camera is rolling we enter a strong thermal. This pushes the wing back, followed by the inevitable wing acceleration and dive. I catch this on the brakes, keeping the wing broadly at 12, and over my head.

Normal flight is resumed for a second or two. Then we get a 70% frontal collapse - presumably as we leave the thermal into heavily sinking air. Keeping brake pressure on re-inflates the wing pretty quickly and we recover to normal flight.

Speaking with the master that is Lee Tryhorn from Free Flight Academy it seems I did most things correctly. Happy to say that the Wing recovered quickly and nicely with no nasty surprises.

I'd add a small note that my risers are attached with a slight twist in them, they could/should be rotated 180' to have the speed system on the outside. This may have put a bit of extra pressure on the A Lines and made the Rook a bit more susceptible to frontal collapse. I'm flying with a SupAir Strike, newish to me. On the ground it can be tricky line everything up. No-excuses though, I've got a system now so that won't happen again.
