Описание: The video reflects on Kandinsky's book “Concerning the Spiritual in Art”.

We explore the connection between music and visual and aim to find the ways to combine those two.

"Our hearing of colours is so precise ... Colour is a means of exerting a direct influence upon the soul. Colour is the keyboard. The eye is the hammer. The soul is the piano with its many strings. The artist is the hand that purposely sets the soul vibrating by means of this or that key. Thus it is clear that the harmony of colours can only be based upon the principle of purposefully touching the human soul."

In this case Ivana and Aleksandar combined their own artworks which were filmed and put together in an abstract visual composition. The color and textures are the basic element for building up the visual composition in this video. Kandinsky mentioned that color is the keyboard. Here the colors are used to play the invisible music and the end result was given to the musician to hear it and transform into music.

soFar soNear is a weekly music and video series triggered by the Covid-19 quarantine period. The 3 members of DUMItRIO are exchanging compositional ideas, creating multi-layered pieces and recording from 3 countries in Europe: Netherlands, Slovenia and Italy.
