California farming mogul Michael Abatti has been arrested and charged with the premeditated murder of his estranged wife, Kerri Ann Abatti, at her home in Pinetop-Lakeside.
Prosecutors allege Abatti drove over 400 miles to shoot Kerri Ann amid a heated divorce battle where she sought a significant increase in spousal support to $30,000 a month.
FOX 10's Nicole Krasean traveled to Imperial Valley to find out more about Abatti's roots, as he remains incarcerated, while the community reacts to the fall of a powerful figure long associated with controversial water rights battles and million-dollar energy deals.
