Episode 317: The Irritating Laughter

Shahaji's wife is crying and feels humiliated. He, on the other hand, is not at all sad about what happened to him. Shahaji is told that he will have to beg for forgiveness in the court for his life. He refuses to do so and laughs. This laugh irritates the Badi Begam.

The history and life story of Jijamata is largely unknown to the audience. This show is an attempt to bring to light the inspirational history of Jijamata who envisioned the idea of swarajya (self-rule) along with her husband Shahaji Raje Bhosale and strived all her life to ensure her vision comes true. The story beautifully brings out the various aspects of Jijamata’s personality which makes her a role model for today’s women. The show is an intellectually enriching experience that sticks to historical references, gives anecdotes on balancing various roles in life and is a visual treat to watch.
