North Richland Hills PD tells me that Three arrests have been made in connection with the deadly shooting earlier this morning off Airport Freeway. Detectives have recovered what they believe to be the murder weapon. The initial evidence reveals that there was an altercation between several people before the shooting occurred.
The deceased victim is a 21-year-old female from Dallas. Her information will be released by the medical examiner’s office. The second victim, who was transported to the hospital, is a 23-year-old man from Dallas. He is reportedly in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.
Two NRH officers were working off duty at the time of the incident. One officer was able to return fire, and the second officer was able to apply a tourniquet prior to medic’s arrival for the male victim’s injuries.
Three 18-year-old men are in custody; however, their names and photographs will not be available until they have seen a judge.
