Royal National Park is the 2nd oldest national park in the world, after Yellowstone National Park in the US.

This was my first time hiking in Sydney. So I did the Northern part of the Royal Coastal Track. I’m planning to do the whole track, Otford-Bundeena(27km), by next year! ✌️ I rode the T4 train to Cronulla station and then walk 5mins to Cronulla wharf. The ferry ride to Bundeena wharf is around 30mins.(ferry schedule link below). From bundeena wharf, you have to walk like 2km to the park’s entrance passing by residental streets. My hike was just an out and back hike but I did a detour to Jibbon beach. My initial plan was to go to Marley beach but I just went up to Marley Head lookout (about 5km from the park’s gate) because my soles are so painful (a few days later I knew I had plantar faciitis). So going to Marley Head, I passed by the Balconies, the Waterrun & Wedding Cake rock. Rested and ate at Marley Head and went back the same way. Instead of going back directly to Bundeena wharf, I detoured to Jibbon Beach via the Jibbon Track, endured the pain on my feet 😅, because I really want to swim at Jibbon beach so bad. Overall, I loved the trail. The ocean views from all the lookouts are so refreshing. It was nice to breath fresh air and away from the busy city life. I did this hike on a weekday which was perfect because the trail isn’t full of people/tourists unlike if you go to Royal National Park on the weekend. I saw a lot of jacky dragons 🦎🦎🦎 and wildflowers that I don’t know the names of. I’m new in Sydney so I’m still familiarizing myself to the wildlife here. Please drop a comment if you know the names of the flowers in my videos. It would be greatly appreciated 🙏🏻. I actually did a total of 14km walk because going to & fro Bundeena wharf is around 2km each way.

this is still the 2nd video I’ve made. I am not an expert. I collated all the videos & photos I made on this hike using iMovies. I even don’t know how to edit or add texts 😀. Videos are taken from my mobile phone while I’m holding it and walking at the same time. I’m just trying to capture as many videos on the hike as possible for reference to anyone who wants to do the hike 🙂
