What is the basic role you expect the government to play in this process? Is the government responsible for ensuring that the land is available for purchase and its boundaries are accurately recorded? That the property has sufficient water for a well, or should they enforce a requirement they connect to existing drinking water infrastructure? Should proof be required that the driveway isn’t going to obstruct or create a traffic hazard? Is it the government’s responsibility to ensure the manufacturer installs the house correctly and that it meets fire and life safety codes?
