This is from a c++ simulation with OpenGL that I've written. We have a random walk through the state space of the 2x2x2 rubik's cube. The extent to which it is 'bunched up' shows us how easy it is to randomly walk back to a prior state. The 3x3x3 setting it is more like an endless walk, with very rare (but beautiful) returns to prior states. The 4x4x4 basically never returns to a prior state, and I have yet to see the 5x5x5 ever return to a prior state. Interesting if you like rubik's puzzles, state spaces, geometry, graph theory, topology, connectivity, colourful blocks.
