This is Day 3 of our Kerala trip, and today we explored two beautiful places near Varkala – Jatayu Earth Centre and Kappil Beach.

We started our day early and headed from Skylar Seaview Beach Resort, Varkala to Jatayu Earth Centre, which is around 25–30 km away and takes approximately 1 hour by road.
📍 Location: Chadayamangalam, Kerala
🗿 Sculpture Height: Around 200 feet long, 150 feet wide and 70 feet tall
👨‍🎨 Creator: Sculpted by renowned artist and filmmaker Rajiv Anchal
🎯 Purpose: Dedicated to women’s safety and empowerment, inspired by the Ramayana character Jatayu

⏰ Timings

Open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Last entry usually around 4:30 PM

🎟️ Ticket Details (Approximate)

Entry ticket: ₹400 – ₹500 per person
Cable car (round trip): Included / separate depending on package
Walkway (steps): Free with entry (around 826 steps)

🛕 Temple

At the top, there is a small Jatayu Temple, where it is believed that Lord Rama’s footprint is present.

🌴 Kappil Beach

After Jatayu Earth Centre, we visited Kappil Beach, located near Varkala.
This beach is special because the sea is on one side and the backwaters on the other, separated by a narrow strip of land.
Kappil Beach is very calm, clean, and less crowded, making it perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature.
It’s an ideal spot for sunset views and peaceful walks.
This day was a perfect mix of history, culture, nature, and relaxation.

সকালে নাস্তা সেরে আমরা Varkala-র Skylar Seaview Beach Resort থেকে রওনা দিলাম জটায়ু আর্থ সেন্টার এর উদ্দেশ্যে। দূরত্ব প্রায় ২৫–৩০ কিমি, সময় লাগে আনুমানিক ১ ঘণ্টা।

🌴 কাপ্পিল বিচ

এরপর আমরা গেলাম কাপ্পিল বিচ, যা ভারকালার খুব কাছেই অবস্থিত।
এই বিচের বিশেষত্ব হল—এক পাশে সমুদ্র আর অন্য পাশে ব্যাকওয়াটার, মাঝখানে সরু জমির অংশ।
এটি খুবই শান্ত, পরিষ্কার এবং কম ভিড়যুক্ত একটি সৈকত।
সূর্যাস্ত দেখার জন্য এবং প্রকৃতির মাঝে কিছুটা সময় কাটানোর জন্য এটি অসাধারণ জায়গা।
এই দিনটি আমাদের কাছে ইতিহাস, প্রকৃতি আর শান্তির এক সুন্দর মিশ্রণ ছিল।
