Описание: In 2025, the Technion marked a historic milestone: 100 years since opening its gates. The centennial year was celebrated through a rich array of special events and projects, including the screening of Technion 10²—a documentary tracing the intertwined stories of the Technion and the State of Israel—which was shown on campus, on the Kan 11 channel, and at international festivals.

The Board of Governors meeting was dedicated to the centennial, welcoming distinguished guests, among them the President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog, and featuring events such as the conferral of honorary doctorates and fellowships.

We inaugurated the Wall of Recognition for Technion Scientific Milestones, honoring outstanding researchers whose work advanced science and made a global impact. In collaboration with the Israel Philatelic Service, we also launched the “100” commemorative stamp, highlighting the Technion’s achievements over the decades.

At the David and Janet Polak Visitor Center, an interactive 3D model now offers visitors a detailed view of the campus. To mark the occasion, we planted 100 trees, and dedicated the Technion Run to celebrating a century of excellence.

The centennial year concluded with the sealing of a time capsule at the heart of campus—containing items that reflect the Technion’s achievements during its first 100 years—to be opened in 2124.
