Two separate incidents of violence between different groups resulted in injuries to at least 15 people, including the Deputy Commissioner of Police. The clashes reportedly began over disputes concerning the playing of DJ music and the route of a procession through an area of a different community. According to a colleague on the ground, "both clashes started with a difficulty, one of the reason was the playing of DJ and another reason was the procession was going from a different community area." Participants in the clashes pelted stones and threw glass water bottles. Heavy police deployment is in place, and while the situation is reported to be under control, tension is still prevailing in the region.
