In this video we'll provide a detailed overview of the products we use to soak and treat our garlic cloves prior to planting. Used as protective measures to protect against bulb/wheat mites & bacterial disease and to protect an extra boost of fertility to stimulate quick root growth in the fall along with beneficial mycorrhizal fungi for healthy root growth and enhanced nutrient exchange throughout the growing season.
If you are struggling to control mites in your garlic we strongly recommend that you DO NOT USE straw or other grain crop mulches. Instead use chopped leaves or do not mulch at all. Additionally if you are planting cloves that have obvious signs of mite damage its critical that you use a miticide (Cinnerate is OMRI approved miticide) or Neem Oil to kill mites/eggs prior to planting. Alcohol & sanitizing dips, in our experience, have proven to be ineffective against GOOD control of mites in garlic.

Oxidate: Oxidate is often available significantly cheaper if you can find a local source. Due to the pandemic supply has been inconsistent.
