Right now in my electorate of Mallee, farmers are struggling to get the diesel they need to do the most basic jobs. Trevor and Dave near Horsham and Rainbow are trying to spray and seed crops — but they can’t get fuel. Horticulturalists and almond growers are telling me the same thing. They’re stressed and they have no certainty about when supply will return.
And what has the Albanese Labor Government done? Sent a letter.
That’s not a plan. That’s not leadership.
Regional Australia is carrying the cost of this government’s failures. If farmers can’t get fuel to plant and protect their crops, Australians will feel it at the supermarket.
This crisis needs real action — not excuses.
