Ghana is stepping up the fight against armed illegal miners (galamsey)! 🇬🇭🇫🇷
The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has partnered with the French Military for intense jungle warfare training at the Achiase Jungle Warfare Training School. Ghanaian soldiers are undergoing weeks of rigorous live-fire drills, tactical operations, ambush simulations, and combat strategies to equip them for operations in tough forest terrain against illegal mining gangs.
This collaboration with French instructors aims to boost Ghana's security response, protect natural resources, and crack down hard on galamsey destroying farmlands, rivers, and the environment. Is this the turning point in the war on illegal mining?
