Crabbing by hand: For an adventurous, hands-on experience, you can catch crabs by hand in shallow waters, but you must be quick and careful.
Walk slowly along shorelines and tidal zones, like those near mangroves, marshes, or rocks.
Look for crabs hiding in the sand or under rocks.
When you spot one, grab it firmly in the middle of its shell, away from its claws. Wear thick gloves to protect yourself from getting pinched.
