Описание: Not much of a rest day. 60kms, endless steps and I get jumped by a monkey. Kanchanaburi holds great significance for its connection to WW2, notably the Bridge over the River Kwai, and Thai-Burma (Death) Railway. I visit the Kanchanaburi War Cemetery (opting to go to the Death Railway Museum and Research Centre) at a later date, The River Kwai Bridge, Chedi Thong Wat Tham Khao Pun (overlooking the river and railway), Wat Tham Khao Laem (White Buddha), Wat Ban Tham (Dragon Cave) and back to Wat Tham Suea (Tiger Temple) where a kind local teaches me the history and stories of the murals painted within.
