Hollow Knight: Silksong - High Halls | Piano w/Sheet Music (Late Intermediate Level) arr. Ylan Chu

Описание: This is my arrangement of "High Halls" from Hollow Knight: Silksong (composed by Christopher Larkin) for late intermediate piano as requested by my students. It is written in the original key so that you can play along with the OST. There is a count-in of one measure (3 beats).

Notes:
• Depending on the range of the piece, you will probably notice substitutions/splitting/redistribution of notes in my playing which is my norm to make it all playable (with all the voicing, too) - do what best fits your hands!
• mm. 37 last eighth to the first eighth of mm. 39 stems down: m.s. - left hand.
• mm. 39 last two eighths to mm. 40 also LH.
• mm. 42 stems down starts as LH, then goes to RH. LH continues with stems down at mm. 44. I bracketed how I distribute these passages, but do what works better for your hands and voicing.
• I know it is a jumble of notes and crossing staves for that section, but it reads better than other options.
• Last system - I am sorry for the hand crossing covering the keyboard. I forgot about they video and my hands go where they go in performance mode.
• If you are concerned about the half rests at the beginning of mm. 9, 10, etc., they are correct depending on your system/institution. In the RCM theory books, for example, they have: "A strong beat can be combined with the weaker beats that follow. E.g. 3/4 half rest (S w) + quarter note (w) = correct. A weak beat cannot be combined with a weak beat that follows. E.g. 3/4 quarter note (S) + half rest (w w) = incorrect." Also, having two quarter rests, one eighth rest, and one eighth note looks extremely cluttered.
• Pedal: I change whenever the harmony changes. For mm. 9, 10, etc. with the eighth, I half or three quarters pedal to sustain the ringing from the eighth note. For mm. 36-44, a mix of half pedal through most of the runs, but clearing when it rings too much. In the original track, the final note sounds alone, but on my piano specifically, I prefer one pedal for the last three measures (half pedal so that the sound dissipates enough for the final G to ring through). Of course, use your own judgment to avoid it sounding too washy.
