I should have checked this a while ago, I have heard of the BMW E31 bursting into flames and the Lamp Control Module burning away causing a big hole in the PCB - but ignored it. Well, until yesterday, and it's shocking! That front light wiring loom has failed with the insulation falling off and electrolysis causing a growth of Copper Sulphate, at any point I should have expected the smell of burning plastic and a cabin full of noxious smoke.
Here's how to make it safe so you can order the looms and make sure you lovely BMW E31 doesn't end up at the scrapper.
