Last Of Its Kind - Telectro – SS233 Stereo R2R Tape Recorder

Описание: The Telectro (aka: Telectrosonic) made some very unique tape recorders in the 1950's and 1960's while owned by Emerson Radio. Sometimes their brand was “Telectro – by Emerson Radio”.

One of the mid-1960's models was a 4-track stereo tape recorder – the model SS233. A handsome machine, with very good stereo playback (this video uses mono playback for technical reasons), one would think it was a excellent machine. High quality at a fair price.

In this video we will explore the inside and outside of the tape recorder (actually player, since it cannot record anymore) and hear its unique sound. It DOES play in stereo very well, with excellent stereo imaging.
