I captured -"The Waning Gibbous 🌔 Moon" through 76mm reflector telescope.
Short Moon clip reference originally from @AstroTales-SO. Used briefly. Issue corrected.
The Moon in its Waning Gibbous phase, captured as it slowly transitions from fullness toward the Last Quarter. This phase reveals high-contrast lunar craters, maria, and surface relief due to low-angle sunlight.
Waning Gibbous Moon captured through my telescope, revealing sharp crater edges and lunar maria. A perfect phase for observing surface depth and topography
Capture Details:
🔭 Telescope: Reflector telescope (750 mm focal length)
📱 Camera: Redmi Note 13 Pro
🎥 Capture Method: Afocal (phone through eyepiece)
🌗 Lunar Phase: Waning Gibbous
🌍 Location: India
🕒 Time: Night sky observation
This phase clearly shows surface relief due to low-angle sunlight, revealing fine lunar details that are often washed out during the Full Moon.
Editing inspiration: @AstroBackyard (workflow & processing style).
All footage/data in this video is my own unless otherwise credited.
