A site survey. Youlgreave Church, dedicated to All Saints, is located in the village of Youlgreave, Derbyshire, England. A 13th Century construction, Youlgreave Church bears many fine existing examples of Georgian and Victorian Gravestones within its Graveyard.
This upload is to serve posterity, to record the surviving examples of Headstones and Gravestones. Many of the Graves are in a sad state of decay, suffering the effects of time and the elements. Within another 25 - 30 years, many of the Graves shown will be gone, either removed or simply crumble to dust. This is the same story across the whole of the United Kingdom. And once gone, these surviving examples of beautiful stonework will be gone forever.
Future generations are in real danger of living alongside empty Graveyards, and their historic legacy forgotten forever. This upload is to act as an echo of the past. So that in the future, generations will have a record of their lost heritage.
