What it is: A massive 128-foot tall structure marking the exact spot where Lord Buddha gave his first sermon (Dharmachakra Pravartana).

2. Sarnath Archaeological Museum
What it is: India's oldest site museum, housing artifacts dating from the 3rd century BCE.
