This video was originally created for a school project in English class about a technical topic of our choice that has a maximum playtime of 4:00 minutes.
The oil quantity can vary between 3.5 and 3.7 litres depending on how well the oil has drained. Leaning the bike left and right a couple of times helps to drain some extra oil.
Adding oil step by step is easier than removing it.
Necessary tools:
Drain bolt - Allen 10mm
Oil filter - BMW 11 4 650 (or Hazet 2169 or equivalent)
Bash plate - Torx T30
Required parts:
Oil filter - 11 42 7 721 779 (or Mahle 619 & 1824 or equivalent)
Crush washer - 07 11 9 963 340 (A20x24-AL)
Oil of your choice, but has to fulfil following specifications
5W-40 & API SL & JASO MA2
Torque specs:
Drain bolt - 42Nm (31lb-ft)
Oil filter - 11Nm (8lb-ft or 97lb-in)
Bash plate - 8Nm (5.9lb-ft or 70.8lb-in)
