It is now 7 years since the killing of Cecil the lion by American trophy hunter, Walter Palmer.
Trophy hunters kill an animal every 3 MINUTES. They shoot thousands of endangered animals every year, including lions, elephants, rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, hippos, and even monkeys.
9 out of 10 voters in the UK want a ban on British trophy hunters bringing back their sick 'souvenirs'. The government promised a ban in 2019 but still hasn't implemented it.
According to The Times and The Guardian, the American gun lobby and allies of Vladimir Putin are quietly financing campaigns to block a ban from becoming law.
