TS-590 REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM YT5RA
This project demonstrates a fully custom remote control solution for the Kenwood TS-590S transceiver.
The system uses a client-server architecture:
Windows 10/11 client
Internet connection
Ubuntu 24.04 LTS server
Kenwood TS-590S
Main features:
Full CAT control (frequency, mode, VFO)
Low-latency CW over Internet (ESP32 Iambic keyer + TCP control)
SSB transmission via UDP audio streaming (48 kHz)
RX audio streaming back to client
Integrated SDR waterfall (SoftRock IQ)
DX cluster spots with click-to-tune
Operator-based logging system
Systemd-managed services for stability and auto-restart
CW and SSB are transmitted with precise timing and low latency, using dedicated services on the Ubuntu server and a custom .NET Windows client.
This setup effectively creates a complete remote DX / contest station with SDR monitoring and professional low-latency architecture.
