This tutorial explain the working of various logic gates like AND, OR, NOT, NAND, NOR, XOR, XNOR with their truth table. In digital electronics absence of signal is considered as zero/False/Off and presence of signal is considered as one/True/On. When we tabulate the input and output value for a given logic gate, it is called as truth table for the gate.
NOT gate: Require only 1 input. Output is 1 if input is 0 and output is 0 if input is 1
OR gate: Require 2 or more input and gives output 1 if any of the input is 1.
AND Gate: Require 2 or more input. Output is 1 if all inputs are 1 else 0.
NAND gate: Combination of AND followed by NOT. Hence it is reverse of AND gate.
NOR gate: Combination of OR followed by NOT. Hence it is reverse of OR gate.
XOR gate is a digital logic gate that gives output 1 when the number of true inputs is odd.
XNOR Gate is reverse of XOR gate.
