Do I need this???
This module will discuss the concept of borrowing bits and creating custom subnet masks in order to accommodate host and/or subnet requests.
Example: Can you determine the number of bits to borrow from a default mask to accommodate 509 subnets? How many host bits should remain available to accommodate a network of 368 hosts? Where is the 3,000th subnet? Can you comfortable take a /8 and borrow 9 bits and provide the new subnet mask value, Net ID, broadcast of the network and assignable host range?
If so you're probably not in need of this...Test yourself first with the following Challenge Me!!!
