Man held without bail in fatal Odenton shooting

An Anne Arundel County judge denied bail for the man charged in the fatal shooting of Odenton amateur boxing champ Isaiah Olugbemi. County police said officers were called around 9:45 p.m. Monday to the area of Meadowmist Way and Stehlik Drive for a reported shooting. Olugbemi, 27, of Odenton, was found outside his townhouse suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He died at Shock Trauma in Baltimore. Late Tuesday afternoon, 11 News learned that police arrested Nicholas Francis Xavier Giroux, 36, of Odenton, and charged him with first- and second-degree murder. Pretrial Services officials reported the suspect's history includes seven criminal convictions.
