This video shows 4 worked examples of how you can use the data available from the Betamin Builder strategies to calculate level stakes sizes, profit targets and stop loss points.

By making a solid long-term plan based on big data, you know exactly how much you are aiming to win if everything goes right, and also how much you could lose if you hit your stop-loss point.

Calculating Level Stake Size for a Betaminic Strategy
1. Look at the Maximum Drawdown or E.L.S.
2. Calculate the points size for your risk level.
A) Divide bank by drawdown x1 – Aggressive
B) Divide bank by drawdown x1.5 – Moderate
C) Divide bank by drawdown x2 – Conservative
D) Divide bank by E.L.S. x2 – Aggressive
E) Divide bank by E.L.S. x4 – Moderate
F) Divide bank by E.L.S. x6 – Conservative
3. Calculate the historical profit after costs for your pick pack.
4. Decide your stop-loss point. e.g. 1x the MaxDD.
5. Consider the bank size you want to use to make the effort, time, and risk worth it.

Method used for each strategy
1. Look at the “All Results” period for the win rate and MaxDD. Use the ELS calculator from The Staking Machine website to get the ELS from the win rate.
2. Decide your risk level, Aggressive/Moderate/Conservative/Standard. Divide the bank by the MaxDD and the ELS multiplied by your risk multiplier. Choose the smaller of the 2 stakes.
3. Calculate the NET historical profits based on your pick costs, the “Since Shared” profit and the “Since Shared” Total Bets Number.
4. Decide a Stop Loss. Calculate how much of the bank you would lose if that stop loss is reached.
5. Select a starting bank size to use with this strategy that will match your expectations of an acceptable risk/time/effort to reward ratio.

The risk level you choose also depends on how you view the betting bank allotted to this strategy. If your view is that you have £100 and instead of risking it all on a single bet (like a 3-leg multiple), you want to risk it all on a smart, data based betting strategy. Then the aggressive staking plan is for you. If you have one large bank of £1,000 that is your entire betting bank for the year, and you want to stop if the bank goes under £750, or want to have some other stop-loss level where you reconsider the strategy, then the conservative staking plan is better, or even a more conservative staking plan with a higher multiple on the Maximum Drawdown or E.L.S.
It really depends on you and your betting plan for the year. And you should have a plan that you understand. Otherwise, you are just gambling recklessly. That is the point of big data betting.

Smart Data Betting: The more data in the strategy history, the more confidence we can have in this stake size. I would say 100 bets is the absolute minimum and 1,000+ is the ideal number of bets to get statistically meaningful results.
