Total immersion in life. Swarms have a very special fascination.
❓ How does it work that thousands of fish change direction within a tenth of a second? That a shoal divides, the parts swim out of sight, only to reunite minutes later? What intelligence controls this? How do the creatures communicate with each other? Who follows whom❓
This was a school of snipefish. They live normally in the open ocean. But it also happens that mainly juvenile fish approach the coast. Often they get stranded in tide pools when they are chased by barracudas, tunas or dolphins. 🐟 🐬
