Here is the open tone. If you need a text reference on how to play it just Google "learn to play the open tone for conga drum" then you will find a lot of information on the net. Practice slow and be sure to get a metronome and the book by George Lawrence Stone "Stick Control." The cost of the book is $8.00.
Try to do this daily!
Play the tone by itself 10 minutes right hand
Play the tone by itself 10 minutes left hand
Sit or stand in front of one conga drum place a music stand with the "Stick Control" book
right in front of you. Start with page five and play the exercise 1 to 12 at 40 bpm and then play 13 to 24 at 50 bpm. (You will need a metronome). Once complete, you can move on to the next tone.
