Where violin whispers wake the glen,
Through Scottish Highlands, wild and free,
Across the mountains’ misty hem
And rolling hills by silver sea.

In springtime’s blush the blossoms rise,
Soft petals dancing on the breeze,
While ancient, watchful Highland skies
Look down on blooming heathered leas.

Bootsteps climb through emerald light,
Past trees that hum in orchestral air,
Each note—acoustic, pure, and bright—
An upbeat pulse of hope laid bare.

O heartfelt hills, your song inspires,
With classical echoes strong and clear;
You lift our spirits ever higher,
With positive vibes we hold so dear.

Energetic winds sweep through the soul,
Uplifting paths where dreamers roam—
In Highland heights we find our whole,
Among the peaks we call our home.

Creating songs from my poetry, along with notes and ideas I have written over the years—many originally developed to describe my art and photography—has become a newly discovered way of keeping my curious and creative mind active.
