Synopsis
Countess Claire Ledoux arrives in mid-19th-century New Orleans, determined to marry into wealth. She ensnares banker Charles Giraud with feigned fainting and high-society airs. But when Captain Robert Latour bursts into her life, wooing her with rugged charm, Claire finds herself juggling two suitors. As her lies begin to unravel—exposed by her unsavory acquaintance Zolotov—she invents a cousin “Lili” to shift suspicion. Ultimately, Claire must choose between securing her future or following her heart.
