Outward is an open-world survival RPG that emphasizes preparation, consequence, and player vulnerability over power fantasy.
You manage hunger, thirst, temperature, disease, and injuries while navigating a harsh but beautiful world that does not scale to your level.
Combat is deliberate and tactical, rewarding planning, traps, magic preparation, and stamina management rather than reflex-heavy button mashing.
Progression is nontraditional: death has narrative outcomes, fast travel is limited, and choices permanently shape your faction alignment and story path.
The result is a slow-burn, immersive experience that feels closer to a survival sim with RPG depth than a conventional action RPG. LETS PLAY
