So is Southwestern Advantage legit? Yes. This is a good company and there really are people making money with this company.

However, you need to understand that you will not get rich selling the Southwestern Advantage products.

This is not the typical direct sales business. There is no multi tier compensation plan. The reps are simply paid for sales, on a commission basis.

It’s tough to say why the Southwestern Advantage scam rumors exist due to the fact that this is not MLM.

But I believe it’s due to the large failure rate.

They focus mainly on recruiting collage students to sell their products, door to door. So these students are broke, in desperate need of money. But the only sales technique that they are taught is door to door selling, which is an extremely challenging way to make sales and build a business.

It’s a great way to build character and develop some people skills, for sure, but you’re never going to get rich selling books door to door.
