The Fender Modern Player Telecaster Plus was a very popular guitar when released a few years ago, and secondhand examples can still command decent money, especially as the model is no longer made.

So what is the '11Plus'?

In short, this guitar has been modified, increasing the stock 7 available pickup combinations to 11, all thanks to the addition of a neck-on button. You'll see and hear it in detail during the video.

As for '11Plus', it's both a reference to the aforementioned pickup combinations, as well as being an infamous and terrifying UK school exam.

This is a great guitar, with each pickup having a distinct character. This particular example has been further modified with custom control, neck, and jack socket plates.

The guitar was plugged into a Hughes & Kettner Tubemeister 18 throughout, recorded direct, and various IRs were applied in the DAW session.
