This is the all-new Audi Q7!

Audi’s competitor to the BMW X7 and Mercedes GLS has had a full design refresh, and Mat’s flown over to Germany to see what’s changed. So what exactly is new? Let’s get into it…

Starting with the exterior design, it’s fair to say that the new Q7 certainly stands out. Up front there’s a huge, illuminated grille, and this is flanked by a pair of OLED headlights. It’s also worth noting that the headlights are absolutely fantastic - there are several different light signatures, and the full beams can act as a projector when you approach/walk away from the car! Along the side, the Q7 comes with up to 23-inch alloy wheels, and the rear pillar of the car has been lifted to allow more space for people in the third row. Around the back, there are OLED taillights, a full-length light bar, and (finally!) the return of real exhaust tips!

The inside of the Q7 is also super smart, especially with the wood trim that we have in this car. There’s a huge curved dial and infotainment screen, although as in other recent Audis, it has an insanely large bezel around it! Still though, the cabin is well laid out, and it’s (mostly) covered in soft touch materials. There’s lots of storage, the seats are incredibly comfortable, and the new drive selector stalks are a great touch.

The Q7 currently comes with a 3-litre V6 diesel that can produce 245hp or 300hp. It comes with mild hybrid tech to allow for some driving on electric power alone, and both petrol and plug-in hybrid options are due to be available as well.
