Old World Triptych: Deep & Rich Comb Wrecked Wandering Straight Pour on Three 16x20 canvases! Wow!!

Hello Friends!
Today we are pouring a triptych!
I have three 16x20 canvases, and my Husband of Awesomeness (HoA) has attached two 1x3 pieces of wood across the backs and screwed it into the frames. Its holding them together perfectly, and there is just enough space for the paint to flow between the canvases (he used a piece of cardboard as a spacer).
I have done one other triptych, The Diamondback, which was a lot heavier than this one. Its a pretty funny video, like watching me wrestle with a slippery alligator LOL..

My Colors today are:
Golden's
Payne's Gray
Quinacridone Violet
Permanent Deep Violet
Prussian Blue

Folk Art Treasure Gold
-Antique Copper

DecoArt Americana Decor
Metallics
24K Gold
Satin Enamels
Pure White with some
Artist's Loft Metallic White

My Pouring Medium is:
Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish
Paint + a bit of Water
Floetrol

I layer my cup carefully down the side, then I do a wandering straight pour across the three canvases. I fill up my cup and again pour across all three. I decide I want a little more paint in the bare areas of the canvas, so I layer another half of my cup and fill in some of the empty areas.
I thin down my Paynes Gray with water and use that as a Flow Extender around my pour.

I had planned to use the comb and go across all three canvases..but I dont know what happened to my brain, I ended up coming each canvas individually.

As I start to tilt, my attention was on one canvas..and when I went to work on the other side that everything was moving together.. sort of like a three ring circus.. 😁

I add a bit more paint, I tilt more, I comb one more area lol.. and then I'm done.

There are some really beautiful parts to this piece.. as a whole it has a very Old World feeling. The 24K Gold mixed with the Folk Art Treasure Gold Antique Copper and created a deep metallic luster against the very dark Paynes Gray that made me think of Mahogany furniture and libraries full of leather covered books..a crystal decanter, the scent of cigars lingering in the air.. a shaft of sunlight dances on the clean windowpane... I can see it all so clearly 😁

I was so excited to see the Folk Art Antique Copper actually acting like Copper!! Really pretty in this piece!

The Payne's Gray is so dark it's almost black.. I love it! That upper right corner with those streaks is gorgeous...

I'd like to thank Bill Christiansen for sending me his idea about an easier way to secure canvases for a triptych.. it's so wonderful to get messages from you guys! This was much easier to handle and weighed a lot less than the Diamondback that I used in the last triptych video. Thanks Uncle Willie! You're awesome!!
