What If Robert Baratheon Granted The Seven Kingdoms Independence? Let’s explore the depths of it in the video
Let’s push the threshold everyone, if this video gets 5,000 likes, we’ll release part 2.
Robert looks down at the four mangled bodies laid in front of him covered in scarlet Lannister cloaks. He had known that the Mad King had to die, but seeing the small bodies of the children and their mother disgusted him. the man who had done something like this, he might do the same again
Ned: This is barbarism, Lord Tywin. These were babes that your men butchered. I say we send them to the wall or have them face execution.
Tywin: Even if you could prove that I had a hand in their deaths, this is war, Stark. I do not appreciate having a gift given in friendship thrown aside lightly. Perhaps you should depart the chamber to collect yourself while I and our new king discuss matters as you are clearly overwrought.
Robert: Stop this squabbling the pair of you!
Both men turn to look at Robert, both looking like they’re about to draw swords or at the very least have their men draw swords. Robert can see that they both aren’t going to back down and he doesn’t have a way of placating both sides. Neither Tywin’s ambition or Ned’s Honor would be satisfied and he could not afford another war. For a moment, he just glares at the two men.
Robert: There’s been enough fighting. Lord Tywin, I’m not going to have you executed for the crimes of your bannerman.
Ned: Robert! You can't-
Robert: I’m not finished. However, I am going to hold your bannerman responsible for their crimes.
Ned: Your son needs to answer for something as well. He was here killing his king when a mother and her children were butchered.
Robert: No Ned, Aerys deserved to die. I imagine that Lord Tywin ordered his son to do the deed.
Tywin: While I was not fond of Aerys, I did not order his death by my son's hands. He took the initiative for himself.
Robert: All right, why?
Jaime: Because he was going to burn the city with wildfyre.
Robert: Seven hells. Well, Ned, I think that changes things.
Ned: Ser Jaime, I have misjudged you.
Robert: All right, just the bannerman will face justice for this.
Tywin: Very well, if you wish to send Ser Amory and Gregor to the Wall I will accept those terms, but I would ask that you release my son from the Kingsguard to act as my heir and a marriage pact with my daughter.
Robert: No, I want Lorch and Clegane’s heads sent to Dorne.
Tywin and Ned both stare at Robert. The old lion in angry disbelief, the quiet wolf in shocked surprise. Robert glances at the giant and the manticore knight.
Robert: Seize them.
It takes several men to tackle the mountain, less for Ser Amory.
Tywin: And what do you intend to give me in exchange?
Robert: Blunt as ever, well, I’ll be blunt in return. How does being the first King of the Rock in three hundred years sound?
Tywin: What exactly do you mean?
Robert: There’s not going to be any more Seven fucking Kingdoms. The dragons are gone, so it stands to reason that what they built is going away as well. Let's make a new realm, where a Council of Kings decides the course of the realm. We'll have to work out the particulars, but it will actually be the best for the kingdoms.
He points to the Iron Throne with his hammer.
Robert: That thing is getting melted down or if the damn thing isn’t meltable, then I’ll throw it in the Black Water bay.
Tywin takes a moment to consider this. For all these years he’d been working to secure his house’s legacy by sitting his descendants on the Iron Throne, but if there wasn’t going to be an Iron Throne then he would have to find an alternative path. There would be difficulties, but this might be a better option.
Tywin: Done. So shall I call you the new Storm King?
Despite himself Robert chuckles.
Robert: Ned, get your sword. You asked for this, and I think Ice would like to be used by the King in the North.
Ned doesn’t hesitate as he draws Ice from the scabbard on his back.
Ned: Would you speak a final word, sers?
Gregor glares at him, but only spits on the ground. Amory pleads for his life, trying to pin it on the giant, but Ned raises Ice and brings it down twice.
