Venezuela's President Nicolas Maduro said this week that his country is willing to have "serious" talks with the U.S. on drug trafficking and oil. In an interview, Maduro did not address last week's CIA-led strike at a Venezuelan docking area that the Trump administration believed was used by cartels.
This comes as the U.S. has ramped up a monthslong pressure campaign to force a government change in Venezuela. The U.S. has also conducted various strikes on alleged drug-carrying boats recently, killing what officials say are "narco-terrorists."
