Freiburger and Finnegan Limo Truck Dyno Shootout! How Much Power Did It Make?

Описание: Episode 395 of Finnegan's Garage picks up where we left off; we finished building a 489ci Big Block Chevy With James Bostic and now it's time to get it out of the Limo and install it! During a recent cross-country road trip, David Freiburger, Matt Ringer, James Bostick and I assembled a complete Big Block Chevrolet V8 engine while riding inside of my six-door Chevy Squarebody limosine pickup. The build happened as we drove from Bostick Racing Engines in Yuma, Arizona to Ten 10ths Motorsports in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The new engine began with a fully machined Chevrolet Mark IV cast iron cylinder block, which we filled with a complete forged rotating assembly from Scat Enterprises. The 4.25-inch steel stroker crankshaft connected h-beam rods to forged Racetech pistons. If you'd like more info on the Scat crankshaft and connecting rods that we used in this build then go here:

The shortblock was topped with a pair of CNC-ported oval port 265cc aluminum cylinder heads from Airflow Research. These cost effective high-performance cylinder heads feature CNC'd intake and exhaust ports and valve springs ready for a hydraulic roller camshaft.
Topping off the engine is an AFR Magnum oval port dual plane aluminum intake manifold, which not only saves weight but offers better airflow than the old cast-iron manifold found on our stock 454. If you'd like more information on AFR parts then go here: https://www.airflowresearch.com

Feeding the 489ci beast is a Holley 3310 four-barrel vacuum secondary carburetor, which worked nearly flawlessly right out of the box with zero jetting changes. Go here for more info on that carb: https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_...
