In US news and current events today, the global uprising sparked by the death of George Floyd has given new urgency to the Black Lives Matter movement. The George Floyd protests and Black Lives Matter protests against police brutality and systemic racism has made the movement the most pressing issue in America today, yet many still insist on countering it with the phrase All Lives Matter.

This phrase belies a poor understanding of what Black Lives Matter really means, and this video will cut right to the heart of the problem. Black Lives Matter doesn't mean that certain lives are more important than or superior to other, it just means that racism in America is a deep and dire problem, and we must address it and fully acknowledge that Black Lives Matter in order to change that.
