Sometimes it’s hard to describe what it means, but easy to identify when we see it. The endless and continuous motion that finds space to move even in silence and apparent stillness. The connections and transitions that seem to happen in round, not sharp edges. The effortlessness.

Watching Evelyn dance brings all those images to me. It’s like watching dance under water. I can see the intention to create something unique through the pursuit of continuous movement that comes from within. It’s beautiful beyond measure, unique and inspiring.

A couple weeks ago I was at the amazing event Mind, Movement, Magic, created and facilitated by Lisa Marie. There I had the chance to share space and dances with Queen Evelyn herself and create this video that came from the enthusiastic mind and inspired brilliant eyes of Elias Travers. It was an absolute honor and joy to do this dance with her.

The state of awareness and attention enhanced, the care, the space to create within the structure of lead and follow, the shapes, speeds, textures. I felt tired and joyful after this dance, cause heart, soul, and body were put into it.

Still hard to believe. Still amazed. Forever grateful for Evelyn for the dance and Elias for the video.
