Stella was my first post on YouTube almost two years ago. I wanted to do a different version to contrast with the first. I wanted to take it pretty far from it's original structure. It brings up the question: How far out do you go before you're no longer playing the tune? In my mind, I'm following Stella the entire time, but I'm wondering how it is perceived from the listener's perspective. How much of Stella can be heard in this performance?
This tune is incredibly rich, and so much can be done with it. Listen to Lot2Learn's version for something totally different. It swings as hard as anything I've ever heard. Check it out at
