Kodlamane is a Tirtha Kshetra and Hindu pilgrimage site located in Honnavar Taluka of Uttara Kannada district, Karnataka. It is home to the ancient and well-preserved Kodlamane Shree Vishnumurthy Temple, known for its serenity and mystique. As per local legend, the temple was discovered centuries ago amidst a dense hill forest. A natural stream, Vishnu Tirth, flows beside the temple, adding to its spiritual ambiance.
Built in accordance with Vedic Hindu architectural principles, the temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the sole bestower of Moksha (liberation), making it a site of immense spiritual importance and a Mukti Stal. It is situated approximately five kilometers from Idagunji and 20 kilometers from Honnavar. The temple is particularly renowned for its Darshana Seva or Aavesha Seva.
