My arrangement of the Stanley Myers classic. I had a phase a while back of arranging classical guitar music for piano / keyboard, inspired by my clavichord, a keyboard instrument with a sound reminiscent of the classical guitar.
This piece was originally written for a film called The Walking Stick, but became famous later as the theme music for The Deer Hunter. It was performed on classical guitar by John Williams.
After arranging it for piano I found out later that it had been originally written for piano by Myers! It would be great to hear the original piano version to see how it compares. Seems like a lot of folk have made their own arrangements.
